Rivlan, Inc. was founded in 1999 as an RF/Analog IC design-house focused on providing design solutions to companies in the wireless, data networking, broadband-access, video and mass-storage industries.  Rivlan has the capability to create new, cutting-edge designs in most advanced CMOS, Si-Ge BiCMOS, BiCMOS and bipolar processes using customized mainstream EDA simulation and layout tools.

We provide turnkey solutions, starting from the system specs, through block level and down to transistor level, physical design and verification. Rivlan, Inc. is privately owned corporation, incorporated in state of Texas with its offices located in the northern part of the Dallas/Fort-Worth Metroplex.

Management Team


Adam Vishinsky, President and CEO

 

Adam has over 30 years experience in all aspects of analog, RF, mixed-mode circuit and system design, as well as significant experience with project and design team management.  In 1999 he founded Rivlan, Inc., steadily growing its revenue by providing services and turnkey solutions to US, Asian and European customers such as Texas Instruments, ST Microelectronics, MediaTek, Honeywell, Sharp, Lucent, Ceva, PDF Solutions, and WJ Communications.

Prior to Rivlan, in 1996 he co-founded Microtune, Inc., where he was responsible for realization of the industry’s first monolithic TV-tuner.  Microtune had a successful IPO in 2000.

Dr. Vishinsky is a Senior Member of IEEE.  He served as Mentor Advisor to Startech Early Ventures Foundation in 2002-03.  He received his MSEE from Warsaw University of Technology in 1977, his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Portland State University in 1998, and his Executive MBA from University of Texas at Dallas in 2003.  He has authored over 20 research papers and holds 11 patents.


William Giolma, VP of Operations

Bill has 35 years experience in analog, mixed signal and RF design, project and design team management, product and business development and strategic marketing.  Prior to joining Rivlan, Bill was as Strategic Marketing Manager at Texas Instruments in Dallas.  During his 35 year career at TI he was a Design Engineer, Process Development Manager, Design Manager, Division Business Manager and Product Group Business Manager.

Bill received his BSEE from Carnegie Mellon University in 1973.  He was Senior Member of Technical Staff at TI and holds 12 patents.


 

 

Bob Campanini, VP of Business Development

 

Bob has 12 years of product engineering, product line management, sales and marketing experience.  Prior to joining Rivlan, Bob was responsible for
semiconductor SAW marketing and product development at RF Monoloithic, and served many wireless segments including telecom, consumer mobile, GPS, RFID and Defense.
Most recently, he drove product launch and profit improvement at the Overhead Door corporation.  Bob earned his Executive MBA from the University
of Texas at Dallas in 2007 and a BSEE from the University of Kansas in 1997.  He is a
Member of IEEE and MTT Symposium (Microwave Theory and Techniques).


 

 

Paul Smith, VP of Product Development

 

Paul has over 30 years experience in systems, analog, RF, mixed-signal and digital IC design, in particular focusing on architectures for wireless applications and data converters. 

Most of his professional career he spent in the R&D environment developing new technologies and products for Motorola Communications Sector - Mobile and Wireless Access and Applications Research Labs, where he was involved with data communications equipment involving real-time software encoding and decoding techniques, a multi-processor communications network and microprocessor-controlled RF channel management system for two-way radio networks.

Prior to Rivlan he was with Analog Devices, Inc as a Senior Field Applications Engineer covering a variety of products in the Optical, Wireless, and other high speed markets.  Apart from interacting with customers he served as a technical mentor, trainer and technical writer to the product line applications engineers.

He received his BSEE from University of Kansas in 1975 and his MSEE from University of Illinois in 1976.  He authored several professional publications and papers and holds 20 patents.
